20 Words Friday: The Difference Between Me and You

I’m beginning a new feature here on A Parched Soul called 20 Words Friday. Each Friday I’ll be posting short poems or reflections that will be 20 words or less. That’s the only rule. Why? It’s easy to be wordy for God. It’s hard to boil His love down to a few, concentrated words. When you stare at a blank page and wonder how you can describe God’s Love and Truth in 20 words or less, it forces you to think hard about Him. Faithful followers may recognize some of these, but there will be new ones as well. Each one of these is typed on a Brother 100 typewriter and edited with Instagram.

    Grayson,

    I love this!

Glad this is being highlighted on your blog here. I wondered what had happened to it. Great reminder to start our Friday and weekend.

I know I’m just now commenting on this, but I read your post about holding off on your book writing and changing your focus. I think sometimes we have take a step back in life and readjust our priorities. I’m glad you have someone in your life who is guiding you in that direction. I’m learning that unless God says “Move” I don’t move. I can do the footwork, but God is the one who controls our purpose.

You’ve been in my thoughts these past two weeks. I may not always comment but I do pop in from time to time.

Thank you for your words here and all you do.

    Godspeed!
